New Abyss Focals

Here are a few new "Abyss" focals from Sunday.

I cannot tell how much I enjoy making these beads! They are so much fun, and using all the different colors and dichro makes me very happy!

The first one is done in very soft greens and blues, and the second in green, teal and amethyst.

"Hoosier Land" Electroformed Focal Leaf Bead done in soft pastels
What a wonderful weekend!! It was spent with family and friends...it doesn't get any better than that!

I found some torch time on Saturday, taught an electroforming class today, and torched with my friend Samma after the class. I also met a very nice fellow lampworker Colleen, who made the trip from Ohio to take the class. We had a blast!

Above are a few beads that I electroformed this weekend. There are a few more in the kiln, and I will post them once cleaned and photographed.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great week!

A Few New Focal Beads

This focal has a glow like the earth's molten core... Firey dichro with blended colors of amythest, amber and pale aqua give it a lot of depth and sets this bead on fire.

This one is just plain WILD for me...not my normal style at all, but I had fun playing

An earthy focal offering many colors of nature

I have been working more hours than usual, and with other obligations, my torch time has been very limited. I did manage to torch a bit this past Sunday, and here are a few new focals. I had fun playing. I need to get busy and list a few in the Etsy store.

New Focal ~ New Torch

I decided to do my part to stimulate the economy and treat myself to the new torch I have wanted for some time. I made my way to ABR on Saturday to pick up the new Bethlehem Barracuda (shown below). There is a bit of a learning curve, but I finally tamed the flame a little better on Sunday. Above is the first focal made on the "Cuda".
