The Best Part Of Glass....

SOLD

SOLD
The best part of glass for me has been all of the wonderful people, and friends, that I have met along the way! One such online friend is Jenny B. from the United Kingdom. She takes gorgeous pictures, and I feel so incredibly blessed when she shares her nature shots.
Above are four shots of the bead that I took out of the kiln this morning, and the photo that was attached to her email that I opened this morning. I think there is a likeness...colors, water dots.... I so love and respect nature, and find it inspires my work at every turn. Jenny, thanks so much for the photograph!

What a Wonderful Weekend!!

SOLD
SOLDSOLD
Beads from the weekend, some of which will be listed this week
What a great weekend this turned out to be! We had beautiful weather, and time was spent with family and friends. Who could ask for more?

Friday was spent torching with my friend Samma Parcels. We torch well together, inspiring and challenging each other, and we are always very productive (beads posted above). She challenged me with colors totally outside of my normal softer color range, with red, relish, goldstone and ivory. She did allow me to use murrini and a few CZ's, so I found some comfort zone in that!
Saturday was spent with my husband, working around the house. Today we made a trip to Oliver Winery with my sister Carmen, Jason and Ethan. We did some wine tasting and then had a picnic by the lake. I ended my day with making a bead, and now will call it a night!

I hope everyone has a great week, and finds it filled with many blessings!

Focal Beads from Sunday

SOLD
SOLD
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mother's Day was wonderful here, and I spent the entire day with my daughter. She even did my laundry! I finally made it to the torch yesterday evening and put four beads in the kiln. Above are a few of the focals that will be listed later this week.

As always, thanks for looking!

Happy Mother's Day!

To anyone who has a child, who has nurtured, loved, encouraged, given hope or confidence to, has educated or nursed a child...Happy Mother's Day to you! I believe that most all women are mothers of this world, whether it is to our own children, our nieces and nephews, neighbors, children in our classrooms, etc...there is nothing like the love we feel for our children. I extend my warmest wishes, respect and gratitude to all of you!

I am so thankful for my daughter. The day she was born, I was filled with a love a never knew existed. I am so very proud of her.
Also, a thank you to my little sister Carmen, for being such a great mother to our little Ethan, and for sharing him with us. I love how he is such a big part of my life...and heart.

Above are pictures of Ethan last week in Florida. He had a great time playing in the sand...and even enjoyed the ocean (a little bit) this year.

New Focal Using New Murrini

SOLD
Above is an Abyss "Sea Life" focal using a new murrini I made this past week. The murrini is actually glittery from the silver glass reaction and the dichro shining through the transparent parts of the murrini. It really has an oceanic feel to it. I am looking forward to working on this a bit more and seeing where it goes from here!
