New Abyss Focal Beads

Here are a few focals from yesterday. They are heavily encased and have so much depth! Goldstone frit sparkles up through the ghostly silver glass that seems to float on the surface. They remind me of the deep ocean floors.
It feels so good to finally get some torch time!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for looking!

Kalypso Focal Bead

Here is a quick post of a bead I made last night using only Kalypso and Dark Ivory. I love the range of colors this silver glass yields!

Have a great weekend!

What a Way FUN Class!!

Paula, Carol, Julie (holding Zing-Zang the studio mascot and entertainment), Gabby, Beth,
Lisa (with the moth on my shoulder) and Sharon

You can always count on a beautiful smile from Gabby!

Julie and Paula hard at work!

Beth, the birthday-girl! It was so sweet of Sharon to bring her a cake!

There is always inspiration around every corner. Here is a Pandora Sphinx moth that Samma discovered on the front of the building. His olive green colors are going to make a great bead! He rode around on my shoulder for about thirty minutes, and then I put him back outside to fly away. He is on my shoulder in the class picture above!

Above are a few pictures from the class I taught last weekend at Inspired Fire in Lafayette, Indiana. It was such a great group, and I enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones! Inspired Fire is a wonderful studio, and Sharon Owens (Owner), was so welcoming and the best hostess! Thanks to Sharon for the invitation, and a perfect class experience!
Thanks for looking, and have a great week!

Bracelet with Electroformed Acorn Caps

sold
We had a class this weekend at the studio, and since I could not torch, I put together a bracelet with beads I made a few days ago. The beads were made with Triton, and frit that I made out of goldstone. The bead caps are electroformed acorn caps from my back yard, and the rings and clasp I made from copper wire. Wow, it had been a long time since I'd made jewelry....or small beads :)
