Great Addition to the Metalsmith Bench

Thanks to Dan the Marble Man for the new-to-me engraver's/jeweler's vise.  He bought it years ago at a flea market for about $30, never used it, and gifted it to me for my workbench!  I have since discovered that it is from the late 18th century...what a treasure, for sure!!!

Copper and Sterling Bracelets with Glass Cabochon Focals

Recent bracelets made with my glass cabochons.  These bracelets recently appeared in The Flow Magazine, Women in Glass Issue.

Dan, Dan, the Marble Man

Dan Grumbling was in the house this past weekend.  I met Dan years ago when he taught at our past studio, Indy Flame Art.  We have been good friends ever since.  He came to Indy last weekend for a few days of melting glass and marble making.  He is one talented glass artist, one heck of a good guy, and we are blessed to call him friend!

Glass Day, Class Day Shenanigans!

Thanks to Stephanie for traveling from Michigan to take a class at the studio!  We had three days of learning and FUN!  We made bead components (blown shards, cane, stringer, murrini), set CZs, silver fumed, worked on shaping, used presses...just to name a few things...impossible to name all of our shenanigans!

It was a fun filled weekend of learning and creating!  She did a great job, and it is always such a blessing to make a new friend.

Ready for Class!

Studio cleaned, glass organized, class packs made, oxygen tanks filled, and studio mascot Zola was at the ready!

I had my last class a week ago.  I have decided to not teach classes going forward and focus on creating and listing items for sale.  Covid changed much for the small business person, especially for in-person services.  Times change, and so must we!  I am thinking about doing some video tutorials...exciting!

Getting available items listed today, and finally figured out the new code for the Etsy shop to appear on this page.  I know just enough to be dangerous when it comes to computers!
